Short Bio

BaldomeroBaldomero Coll-Perales received a Telecommunications Engineering degree in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Telecommunications Technologies in 2015, both from the Miguel Hernandez University (UMH) of Elche, Spain. He received Best Student awards in Telecommunications Engineering both by UMH and the professional organization of Telecommunications Engineers. In April 2010, he obtained a Ph.D. fellowship from the Valencia regional government and joined the UWICORE research laboratory to work on the development of networking and communication protocols for multi-hop cellular systems using mobile relays under the Opportunities, m-HOP and ICARUS projects. As part of his thesis, in 2012 he spent three months at the Institute of Telecommunications of King’s College London (UK) working on the design of efficient opportunistic multi-hop cellular networks. In September 2016, he obtained a postdoctoral fellowship from the Valencia regional government. He is currently a research fellow at UWICORE and postdoctoral associate at WINLAB (Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey) working on the design of device-centric technologies for future wireless 5G network and connected vehicles under the 5GEAR project.
